OUTDOOR CINEMA – TOKYO RIDE
One of the events accompanying Mood for Wood workshops will also include the projection of the documentary – TOKYO RIDE. We invite you to an open film show that will take place on Tuesday 27th July in the City Beach Stare Koryto Warty
TOKYO RIDE is a documentary of the duo Bêka & Lemoine. The black-and-white road film takes us on board Ryue Nishizawa’s vintage Alfa Romeo for a wild tour of Tokyo streets. More than a classic portrait of one of today’s most talented and celebrated Japanese architects, the film portrays the pure spontaneity of this urban jaunt among friends.Ryue Nishizawa narrates along the way his strong relationship with his home town through some sites he personally affectionates, buildings that have influenced him, and some of his own architecture projects.
The film questions how rooted architecture practice is and how much the built and cultural environment feeds and shapes our imagination.
